About This Event

Is great power competition on the rebound? While the post-Cold War era may have been dominated by the global war on terrorism, intensified competition with China and Russia – both nuclear powers – is reshaping US strategic interests and global alliances. As the US, Russia, and China vie for supremacy, what will Xi Jinping’s China and Vladimir Putin’s Russia do? What will this struggle for global influence mean for the US, the West, and the world? Join the Council for a conversation with Pulitzer Prize–winning journalist and bestselling author David Sanger as we discuss his new book, New Cold Wars: China's Rise, Russia's Invasion, and America's Struggle to Defend the West.

Copies of Sanger’s book will be available for sale and signing following the program.
