About This Event

While China’s increased impact in Latin America has led to deepening trade and investment for many countries in the region, it has also raised concerns for some American policymakers about Beijing’s long-term intentions. Join an expert panel to learn more about China’s activities in Latin America and the implications for countries throughout the region.

About the Hart Program Series

The Hart Program Series on Latin America is made possible by a generous gift from the Hart family in honor of Augustin "Gus" Hart, a former chairman of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs and previously existed as a fellowship for emerging leaders from Latin America and the Caribbean. The program series explores key issues in the Latin American and Caribbean region while highlighting and deepening Chicago’s ties with the region.
