The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) is a regional economic forum with 21 member economies that account for 60% of global GDP. APEC serves as the premier platform for the US to advance economic policies in the Asia-Pacific region that promote free, fair, and open trade and advance sustainable, inclusive economic growth. In 2023, the US is serving as the host country for a series of APEC Connection activities, with the theme of “Creating a Resilient and Sustainable Future for All.” Join us for a roundtable conversation with Matt Murray who, as US Senior Official for APEC, will present the 2023 APEC theme and lead a discussion on Chicago’s strong ties to the APEC economies and the outlook for inclusive economic opportunities globally.
