COVID Safety Protocols
We have joined a growing coalition of civic organizations across the Chicago area in adopting safety protocols to ensure your attendance at any Council event is safe. These protocols are in effect until further notice and will be reviewed regularly to follow the latest public health recommendations.
Questions? Contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Proof of Vaccination
All attendees and guests need to show proof of vaccination, including completion of the primary vaccination series of Moderna or Pfizer and a booster shot if the completion of the primary series was more than 5 months ago or completion of their primary vaccination series of Johnson & Johnson and the primary shot was more than 2 months ago. Attendees and guests will also need to present a government-issued ID.
Attendees should have this information ready to present as they enter any Council event, as it will be checked before entry.
A physical vaccination card or a photo of a vaccination card, along with a valid photo ID, may be presented for entry.
We will also accept other vaccine apps like CLEAR, Excelsior (New York State), and Vax Verify (Illinois). If you have a question about a particular vaccine app, please email email@example.com.
Face Mask Guidelines
Wearing a face mask when not actively eating or drinking is strongly recommended in all areas of the Council’s Conference Center or at any Council event, including while seated during programs.
Enhanced Cleaning and Sanitization
In the Council’s Conference Center, high-touch areas, including countertops, door handles, and elevators, are cleaned and sanitized regularly. In addition, seating areas and corresponding lobbies are disinfected with CDC-approved aerosol sprays after each program.
Hand sanitizer stations will be available throughout the Conference Center and can be found near all entrances. Per CDC guidelines, people should wash their hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
If there is any indication you may have been exposed to COVID-19 while at a Council program, you will be informed as soon as possible via email. If you develop symptoms of COVID-19 or test positive for COVID-19 within 48 hours of attending a program, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
