Nancy Joyce Callahan

Supervising Producer of Events

Nancy Joyce Callahan joined the Chicago Council on Global Affairs in 2024 as a supervising producer of events. Before joining the Council, she served as the senior manager of events and partnerships at Heartland Alliance. From 2008-2020, she oversaw Heartland’s hospitality program, teaching customer service skills to refugees and asylees and helping place more than 1,500 graduates in hotel jobs that paid a living wage. Previously, she spent 17 years at the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago and was awarded membership to Les Clefs d’Or, an international association of luxury hotel concierges.

Nancy earned an M.A. in French literature at the University of Illinois-Chicago, studied in Paris for a year, and graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a B.A. in French and English. Fluent in French, she is a dual citizen of the United States and Canada.
