Molly Shields

Molly Shields joined the Chicago Council on Global Affairs as a 2023 summer intern with the Center on Global Food and Agriculture. She is a rising senior at Tulane University, pursuing a BA in political science with minors in economics and public health. Currently, she also works with the Education Research Alliance for New Orleans researching the reunification effects in the city’s post-Katrina education landscape. She has served as a writing tutor at Tulane and held the role of assistant editor for the interdisciplinary feminist publication Women Leading Change: Case Studies on Women, Gender, and Feminism. At Tulane, she is a member of the Newcomb Scholars Program, an academic feminist cohort. Shields is passionate about policy work, with an emphasis on how policies can help promote gender equity.
