Stephanie Sutton

Stephanie Sutton is chief of staff in the Chicago office of Edelman, a leading global communications marketing firm. Prior to joining Edelman, Sutton served in the Obama administration as chief of staff of the Bureau of International Information Programs at the US Department of State. In this capacity, she advised the coordinator, an assistant secretary-equivalent; directed his strategic communications and travel; and drove strategies to implement managerial and programmatic priorities. Previously, Sutton worked in politics. She served as deputy New York finance director for Hillary Clinton for President, organizing and executing fundraising events of all sizes and working with high-level donors to help raise over $45 million from the tri-state area. She also counseled federal and state campaign committees, political action committees, and nonprofits, including the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, Gillibrand for Congress, and Third Way, on their fundraising and development programs. Sutton, who moonlights as an indoor cycling instructor at Flywheel Sports, graduated with honors from Georgetown University.
