Kay Fillingham is a senior product manager at BMO Financial Group where she oversees delivery of treasury products to clients in specialty industries, including Canadian cannabis entities, money services businesses, third party payment processors, and virtual currency exchanges. Fillingham previously served in a range of national security, intelligence, and policy roles in the US government, most recently as an economic officer at the US Department of State, where she played an instrumental role in the easing of the Burma Sanctions Program while posted at US Embassy Rangoon from 2013 to 2015.

Since moving to Chicago, Fillingham has kept a foot in the foreign policy world as an active member and Young Professionals Ambassador for the Chicago Council on Global Affairs. She focuses her civic engagement on developing the city’s future leaders and on protecting its natural spaces. Fillingham mentors Chicago Public School students aiming to become first-generation college graduates through Chicago Scholars. She also serves on the young professionals council of the Alliance for the Great Lakes, an organization focused on advocacy and education to protect our waterways. Fillingham received her BA in international studies and Spanish and her MA in international development from the Korbel School at the University of Denver.
