Kate Besser is a manager on the business transformation team at LinkedIn with the responsibility of leading strategic initiatives that drive global sales and business performance by scaling technology, analytics, and processes. In her previous role at LinkedIn, she served as an insights lead supporting LinkedIn's largest and most strategic partnerships in the professional services industry, including McKinsey, PwC, Deloitte, and Accenture.

Prior to joining LinkedIn, Besser spent over six years working as a management consultant at PwC, specializing in data analytics. She also co-founded a company that used unstructured data to derive insights for B2C clients which was ultimately sold to a corporate advisory and venture capital firm. Besser began her career as an officer in the US Navy, serving aboard the USS Pearl Harbor and as an operations officer at Commander, Naval Surface Forces.

During her time in business school, Besser was involved with the Big Shoulders Fund Auxiliary Board, where she led an annual fundraising effort called the MBS Cup. She is passionate about supporting veterans and was a founding member and current board member of the Veterans Leadership Council and a national leader of LinkedIn's Veterans Employee Resource Group.

Besser holds a master of business administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a bachelor of science in quantitative economics from the US Naval Academy.
