Jayesh Kannan is a research analyst at William Blair Investment Management. He researches global technology, media, and communication services companies and makes recommendations regarding their investment attractiveness for the firm’s global and international investment portfolios. He focuses on understanding the business model, competitive advantages, and evaluating the corporate performance of companies across emerging and developed economies of the world.

Prior to joining William Blair, Kannan worked in the institutional equities division at Morgan Stanley in New York City and Singapore, where he advised large financial asset managers on investing in companies in emerging markets.

Kannan received a B.E. in computer engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, where he graduated as a Singapore Airlines-Neptune Orient Lines scholar with first-class honors. He also has an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he was a Martin Trust Community Fellow.

Kannan is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society Chicago and has been published in the Financial Times. He has lived, worked, and studied in eight cities across five continents.
