Vanessa Taylor joined the Chicago Council on Global Affairs in 2017 as assistant director of the Global Food and Agriculture Program, where she oversees the content development and production for a portfolio of research/policy reports and publications. In her previous roles, Taylor worked across sectors to implement sustainability strategies and programs, most recently advising food and beverage companies around responsible supply chain practices and business development. Taylor has extensive international experience in Europe, Latin America, East and South Asia, including service as a USAID grantee with the Farmer-to-Farmer Program in Nepal supporting smallholder farmers through agricultural extension programs.

Taylor holds dual US and EU (Finland) citizenship, a BA in international relations and anthropology from UC San Diego, and a master of development practice (MDP) in sustainable food and agricultural systems from UC Berkeley.
