Marcus Glassman joined the Chicago Council on Global Affairs in 2015 and is currently a research associate with the Global Food and Agriculture Program. He has previously worked as the refugee epidemiologist for the State of Illinois, on food safety policy at the Center for Science in the Public Interest, and has researched Salmonella transmission and livestock behavior with the USDA Agricultural Research Service. He holds an MS in public health microbiology from The George Washington University and a BA in medical anthropology from Purdue University.
