Bio

Endy Zemenides is the Executive Director of the Hellenic American Leadership Council (HALC). In his capacity as Executive Director, Endy oversees advocacy and public education initiatives on issues concerning U.S. interests in Southeast Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean.

Prior to joining HALC, Endy practiced law in Chicago and served as Senior Advisor for Illinois State Treasurer and Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate Alexi Giannoulias.  Endy was an Emerging Leaders fellow of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs.  His policy experience also includes participation in the Aspen Institute’s Socrates Program, service on the editorial board and board of advisors of the National Strategy Forum and lecturing in international relations and American foreign policy in DePaul University’s political science department.  Endy presently serves on the Board of Directors for New York’s Spring Bank, on the Board of Directors for College Year in Athens, and on the University of Chicago Booth School of Business’ Civic Scholars Program Advisory Committee.

Endy received his bachelor of arts in political science from DePaul University, his masters in the Theory and Practice of Human Rights from the University of Essex (U.K.), and his juris doctor from Georgetown University Law Center.  While at Georgetown, Endy was a fellow at the Harrison Public Policy Institute and editor of the Georgetown Journal of International Law.
