Charles Rice is a research associate with the Global Cities team at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs. Prior to joining the Council, he served as a research associate at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), where he conducted strategic analysis on global economic growth and job creation with a focus on the impact of technology, innovation, infrastructure, and urbanization.  Rice also worked as an English language teacher in Beijing and Yinchuan, China for the Bainian Vocational Schools, a non-profit vocational education program funded through the China Youth Development Foundation. Rice holds a BS in international political economy from the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University.
