Bio

Alexander Hitch joined the Chicago Council on Global Affairs in 2017 as a research associate on the studies team. He coordinates various projects at the Council, focusing mainly on global economic and trade policy, and contributes to work on water security, urbanization, and global cities. Prior to joining the Council, Hitch worked as a project manager at IFF, a community development institution serving the Midwest, and as a researcher at the University of Chicago. Hitch earned a MA in urban sociology from the University of Chicago and a BA in European history from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
