About This Event

Travel can be one of the greatest tools for our global community to better understand each other and our world, but since the coronavirus pandemic slowed travel and tourism to a near halt, the industry’s future is in limbo. Economies and industries dependent on globetrotters have lost billions of dollars since mid-March, including airlines, hotels, restaurants, and tour companies—among so many others. At the same time, recreational travel is a luxury, and millions in the United States alone are out of work without flexible income for a vacation. While countries and businesses rush to reopen and resume business-as-usual, have travelers’ attitudes and expectations changed and how has the industry adapted? What might travel and tourism look like in a post-pandemic world?
