Tina Brown on Women, Politics, and Leadership

2020 marks the 100th anniversary of women’s suffrage in the United States, the 25th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, and an unprecedented number of women running for political office — including as part of the United States’ presidential election — making it a historic year of milestones in the women’s movement. At the same time, Tina Brown’s Women in the World platform is approaching another decade of elevating the voices of visionary and impactful women. In celebration of 2020’s milestones and International Women’s Day, the Council is delighted to welcome Tina Brown to discuss what it means to be a woman in the world today. How will women in 2020 shape politics and global leadership in the next decade and beyond?
