As a member of NATO and the European Union, Spain plays an important role in European solidarity and security. And as the world’s fourteenth largest economy with a key strategic location in Europe, the country exerts significant economic power in the region and the world. Yet Spain has also been tested over the past year with a number of political and security challenges. How is Spain managing these political and security concerns?
