Mika Clark Tupy is the chief of staff to the president at United Airlines and also serves as assistant general counsel overseeing global competition and alliances for the legal department. In addition to her work with the president, Tupy ensures the company’s compliance with competition laws worldwide, provides legal guidance related to our global partnerships, and spearheads any special projects related to acquisitions and divestitures.

Outside of the office, Tupy uses her legal degree to provide services to the community. She was an active participant in United’s pro bono programs, which included working to expunge or seal criminal records for members of the Chicago community and fighting civil asset forfeiture for innocent Chicagoans whose assets had been caught up in criminal cases. Additionally, Tupy is committed to mentorship. She works within United to create advancement opportunities for leading managers through a mentoring program. Outside of United, Tupy serves with an organization to provide mentorship to children in the foster care system.

Tupy graduated with honors from Tufts University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in economics, and holds a juris doctor degree from the University of Virginia School of Law.
