Managing Director and Partner, William Blair
Manuel Chavez joined the firm William Blair & Company in 2010 and works in the healthcare group, focusing on pharmaceutical services and outsourced medical device manufacturing sectors. He's passionate about the healthcare industry and works closely with clients in providing strategic advice as they look to achieve their short and long-term objectives. During his time at William Blair, he has advised private and public companies on over 60 mergers and acquisitions and financing transactions valued at over $20 billion.
Prior to joining William Blair, Chavez worked in an engineering role for BP where he was responsible for overseeing the reliability of equipment and systems across multiple petroleum refinery processing units.
He received a BSE in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He lives in Lincoln Park with his wife and two children.
