Biden's First Overseas Trip as President
Council President Ivo Daalder explains to CNN that President Biden’s likely has two goals during his first overseas trip as president. The first, he said, is to rally democratic allies to solve common challenges like COVID-19, climate change, and protecting human rights, and secondly, to demonstrate to Americans and others who live in democracies that “democracies are still capable of finding ways to meet their needs and their wants and are, in fact, more capable than countries like China.”
