Former Defense Minister of Israel Moshe Ya’alon visited the Council on December 7, 2016. We asked him: What is your priority for US-Israel relations under the next administration? See what he said.

 

"To go on with the superb relationship between the two defense establishments, but to share in a better way the assessment as we believe regarding the situation in the Middle East. As we live there, we know what's going on there, there is opportunity to have open channels in a better way to discuss our common challenges in the Middle East."

The Legacy of M. Cherif Bassiouni

M. Cherif Bassiouni sadly passed away last week. Known as the “father of international criminal law” and a driving force behind the creation of international criminal tribunals, Bassiouni was tireless in his quest to bring justice to the victims of war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide in South Africa, Bosnia, Bahrain, and elsewhere.
