The Honorable Ann Veneman, former Executive Director of UNICEF and former Secretary of Agriculture, has been honored by the National Women’s History Museum at their Women Making History Event. The event honors “a select group of women who have made a significant contribution in their field and serve as an inspiration for women everywhere.” Veneman is the only woman to have served as Secretary of Agriculture, and her distinguished career in public service is an inspiration to many.
