Director, Pritzker Forum on Global Cities
Vanessa Vardon joined the Chicago Council on Global Affairs in early 2016 and is currently the director of the Pritzker Forum on Global Cities, the Council's signature international conference on global cities. She previously served as assistant director for strategic partnerships and next generation programs working with local and international partners to expand the reach and impact of the Council while also developing a forward-looking portfolio of next-generation programming. She joins the Council with international experience across corporate and academic sectors having developed and led large-scale events including multiple NATO-Advanced Study Institutes, the Global Engineering Exchange, and other international tradeshows. Most recently she acted as organizer and co-founder of Advanced Energy Group LLC, a project and market development company focused on facilitating the crucial conversations necessary to foster the economically beneficial advanced energy projects of the future. She holds a degree in chemical engineering from Drexel University.
