SPOTLIGHT: Emerging Leaders Program

Call For Nominations: Emerging Leaders Program Class of 2015

The Chicago Council on Global Affairs is soliciting nominations for its Emerging Leaders Program, Class of 2015. The Council seeks a diverse group of approximately 20 exceptional individuals who are in tune with global trends and who can spot and react smartly to the fast-paced events that will shape Chicago’s future.

The typical Emerging Leader candidate is between 35 and 45 years old and has demonstrated significant career achievement and civic engagement. The Council strives for an incoming class that reflects the diversity of the city.

We are pleased to invite you to nominate a candidate by submitting a nomination form (PDF), a letter of recommendation, and the candidate’s résumé. Please submit these documents to The Chicago Council no later than Monday, February 4, 2013. Upon receipt, we will notify candidates of their nomination and ask them to complete a separate application.

Each year, an independent selection committee identifies a diverse group of civic, business, and government leaders from a competitive pool of nominated candidates to participate in the Emerging Leaders Program. Cochaired by Chicago Council vice chairs John F. Manley and Shirley Welsh Ryan, the Emerging Leaders Program was established in 2008. Support for the program is generously provided by the Robert R. McCormick Foundation and the Patrick G. and Shirley W. Ryan Foundation.
