The symposium will review progress on the U.S. government’s global food security strategy; discuss how long-term U.S. public and private sector support for agricultural development can advance global security, stability, and economic prosperity; and offer constructive thinking on future implementation challenges. The Chicago Council also will release the first Annual Progress Report on U.S. Leadership in Agricultural Development.The Progress Report tracks fulfillment of U.S. government food security policy development, implementation, and resourcing It highlights success to date and offers recommendations for policy improvements.
