Corporate Program - Focus on India

The Focus on India series provides the latest thinking on India, the world’s fastest growing free market economy and its most populous democratic country. Given the increased attention Chicagoland businesses are giving to India, this series examines the economic reform and development process, especially that of infrastructure, entrepreneurism, foreign policy, trade, and environmental initiatives.  Notable speakers have included:

  • Mr. Scott Bayman, President and CEO of General Electric India;
  • His Excellency P. Chidambaram, Minister of Finance, The Republic of India;
  • The Honorable David Mulford, U.S. Ambassador to The Republic of India; and
  • Dr. Raghuram Rajan, Eric J. Gleacher Distinguished Service Professor of Finance, University of Chicago and former Director of the Research Department of the International Monetary Fund

As a benefit for generous supporters of the Council’s Corporate Membership and President’s Circle programs, the Focus on China and India series holds roundtables, private receptions, and dinners with selected speakers.  Learn more about Corporate Membership or the President’s Circle.
