The Focus on China series provides The Chicago Council’s members a forum to discuss one of the world’s largest economic and political powers.  This series, designed primarily for a corporate audience, targets leading executives from the Chicagoland area who are making or contemplating decisions that will be affected by China’s continued rise, in addition to government, academic, and civic leaders.  Notable speakers who recently participated in this series have included:

• Mr. Liu Jieyi, Director General of the Department of North American and Oceanian Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China;
