Josephine E. Heindel
Vice President, External Relations

Jo Heindel joined The Chicago Council in January 2006 as vice president, External Relations. Prior to that, Ms. Heindel served on the boards of several major non-profit organizations in Chicago, for which she managed a variety fundraising initiatives. Ms. Heindel began her career at the Harris Bank in Chicago. She then held senior positions with a management consulting firm and with the Federal National Mortgage Association. During her 16 year career with Bank of America, Ms. Heindel worked in San Francisco, London and Hong Kong, where she played a key role in the expansion of the bank’s retail presence as senior vice president and chief marketing executive for Asia. Ms. Heindel earned her B.A. in English literature from the University of Michigan and her M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Northwestern University.
