Responding to claims that America’s global reputation has been severely damaged in recent years, legendary advertising executive Keith Reinhard thinks the time is ripe for a reboot of America’s image around the world. The founder of Business for Diplomatic Action and the famed Chicago ad man behind the McDonald’s slogans “You Deserve a Break Today” and “Two-all-beef-patties-special-sauce-lettuce-cheese-pickles-onions-on-a-sesame-seed-bun,” Reinhard will discuss ways to repair the reputation of the United States at a time of great change in the global economy and body politic.

Keith Reinhard Keith Reinhard is chairman emeritus of DDB Worldwide and the founder and president of Business for Diplomatic Action. He has testified before the U.S. congress and has been widely featured in the media, including the Daily Show, Economist, Atlantic, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Financial Times.  He was a principal architect of the 1986 merger that created Omnicom, the world’s largest advertising and marketing services holding company, and has been called a “soft-spoken visionary” by Advertising Age.

Ted PincusTed Pincus (interviewer) is the business columnist for the Chicago Sun-Times, an adjunct professor at DePaul University, managing partner at Stevens Gould Pincus, and a director of Business for Diplomatic Action and the International Education & Resource Network. He is the author of numerous books and articles, has served as an advisor to the U.S. Information Agency, USAID, and Nasdaq, and was a member of the Obama for America Economic Policy Committee during the recent campaign.
