The Global Partnerships Initiative, launched in 2009, serves as a convener to bring together people from across regions and sectors to work together on issues of common interest; a catalyst for launching new projects and providing training and technical assistance to extant partnerships; and a collaborator, working closely with its partners to plan and implement projects.

  The Global Development Alliance (GDA) represents USAID's effort to change the way the U.S. government implements its assistance mandate. GDA mobilizes the ideas, efforts and resources of governments, businesses and civil society by forging public-private alliances to stimulate economic growth, develop businesses and workforces, address health and environmental issues, and expand access to education and technology.
