The Global Food Security Act of 2009 - S. 384
A bill to authorize appropriations for fiscal years 2010 through 2014 to provide assistance to foreign countries to promote food security, to stimulate rural economies, to improve emergency response to food crises, to amend the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, and for other purposes. Introduced February 5, 2009; approved by Senate Foreign Relations Committee March 31, 2009.  Sponsored by Senators Richard Lugar and Bob Casey.


Paul Simon Water for the World Act of 2009 - S.624

A bill to provide 100,000,000 people with first-time access to safe drinking water and sanitation on a sustainable basis by 2015 by improving the capacity of the United States Government to fully implement the Senator Paul Simon Water for the Poor Act of 2005.
